Grant Program

100% of ticket sales proceeds from the Las Cruces Tour of Gardens will be donated to gardening related beautification or educational projects in the community.

2010 Grant Recipients Include:

• La Casa, Inc to complete small landscaping projects around the shelter
• Mesilla Valley Audubon Society for their Audubon Adventures school program
• Mesilla Valley Bosque for planters and landscaping around the existing benches
• Southern New Mexico State Fair and Rodeo for the Standard Flower Show
• Women's Intercultural Center for a teaching vegetable garden for the Center's Emergency Food Pantry

The Tour of Gardens Grant Committee encourages organizations and schools to apply for money that will be used for gardening beautification and educational projects in the community. Some of the recent recipients of these grants and their projects are: Girl Scouts of American (Las Cruces Chapter) for the butterfly garden at Mesilla Valley Hospice, Audubon Adventures for their educational programs in local schools, Conlee and East Picacho Elementary Schools for their gardening projects, and two scholarships for individuals participating in a judge's training program in Floral Design.
